If it is another kidney stone - you would be catching it earlier this time.

Kidney stones can cause difficulty urinating for quite some time - before they become totally blocked.

Keep watching him. If he really is having trouble urinating, I would take him to the vet for this. My main reason is that it isn't comfortable for him, and it may progress to become worse than it is now --and harder to treat.
