My little guy has three ways that he carries his ears.

Straight up - Whenever he's running around, watching something, interacting with someone, or curious about anything. They are this way most of the time.

Laid back like a rabbit - My pup would never turn down meeting anyone or a new dog (in fact, he is so excited he almost can't stand it and wiggles so much I almost can't hold him) but - this is when in his own "submissive little way" his ears are laid back just like a little rabbit's. It's very cute, but they don't stay this way for long.

Out Sideways - There are times when I look at him and think that he has absolutely nothing on his brain at all - and he's decided to just "rest his ears." Of course, if anything gets his attention - up they go!

If you think about it - you can tell a lot about what your Yorkie is doing or thinking - just by looking at his ears.
