We lost our 12 year old black lab last May so this will be quite an adjustment for us going to a such a little dog and learning her personality and traits from what we are used to. But we are very excited to get Mia and welcome her into our home and I feel like this site will be our main go to .... Lots of helpful information already !!
Good morning and welcome to you and little Mia!

We were in exactly the same situation to you...we lost our gorgeous lemon Labrador Rosie at age 14...and we didn't want to replicate her in any way - she would have been an impossible act to follow.

Which is why we got Harry! I must admit, after reading so much, that I was extremely pleasantly surprised how easy Harry was to potty-train, in fact to train in general.

Rosie was far more 'biddable' than Harry - but then I think that's girls in general. Rosie would come over for a stroke - but Harry's a true snuggle-bug.

What I would suggest is that you learn the 'Yorkie Shuffle' - they're very Velcro dogs and little Mia will probably be constantly somewhere near your feet

I wish you all the happiness in the world, and enjoy your 4 weeks of shopping! Sally + Harry x
