Honestly, it could take weeks to get her potty trained...it does for most anyway...so it will take time, patience, determination, repetition.
As for the whining, this is most likely bc she has lost her initial "family" and is going thru a major transition now, which is confusing, scary, disorienting, frustrating, and triggering.
You may want to explore some calming sprays/balms and/or pheromone products like a pheromone collar or plug-in....these may help calm / soothe her quicker. Might be worth a try.
