What she said. What I've done as a busy "working yorkie mom" is dual train Kaji. When I'm home he lets us know he needs to go out, or I'll ask him if he needs to go "pee pee" and he'll answer. But, when he's home alone, I give him potty pads which he uses to pee and poop should he need it. This works well for us and no. My house does not smell, which was a concern for me.
