We sell NB at my work and Lilah is currently on duck and potato, my mothers maltese is on sweet pot and chicken- the reps even comment that the fish is such a smell issue that it causes its popularity to fluctuate. Definitely the fish. Most dogs with chicken allergies don't have issues with duck to the best of my knowledge though some foods that are 'fowl' focused or say they are duck will include chicken as a bulk part of their protein source. Natural balance primarily is a limited ingredient line and has single protein only. Often in brands that are no chicken for the protein they will use chicken fat as the fat source- although the fat does not include the protein piece that incites allergic reactions to those with a sensitivity to proteins it at the very least is confusing and NB avoids that too to keep the lines clear. Eww to smelly fish problem. I'm sorry to hear that and would just try a different flavor.
