The main issue is the Maltese, Snow. Scruffy would attack him occasionally and I don't want him to EVER go through that again. Snow is my "fragile flower". He is small, submissive, and is on seizure meds. I loved Scruffy, but he could be a real piece of work. I had to watch him like a hawk.
Edited to say that Scruffy was a rescue. We think somebody dropped him and he found us. I ran ads in the paper and nobody claimed him, so I kept him. This was 10 years ago before there were so many groups on the internet to help find owners. |
You probably do not want a puppy....it is a rare one that will leave senior pups alone. I have a puppy and she is pretty laid back, but she still thinks she can get my senior foster who is blind and deaf, to play with her. He is not bothered by her, but if your Snow would be upset, I would not do it.
