OK, I have found a lot of info on turmeric for pets and can't find much negative except your dog may get a turmeric (orange) mustache. It is also considered a binding agent and may cause constipation if your dog doesn't get enough water to drink.

If your dog has a pre existing condition, is on meds, pregnant or planning surgery always talk to your vet before you begin giving turmeric. The benefits I found are heart health, detoxifier for the liver, anti cancer, kills parasites, helps control epilepsy, good for allergies, controls formation of cataracts and helps with weight management. Wow, does this sound too good to be true? I have been reading in health magazines for people that turmeric is an ancient Chinese herb that has been known for helping in human health for a long time.
