That's another red flag when they ask for more money for AKC papers. Reputable breeders don't do that, and they would sell their pups on a spay/neuter contract anyway. So she asked $4000 with AKC papers, may I ask how much you ended up paying?
It's also kind of weird that she had the sire on site and not the dam. Usually it is the other way around if they don't have both of them.
Well, count it as a lesson learned and consider trying to educate others from now on. Lots of us, including me, made a mistake when buying our first yorkie.
