I'm pretty sure yorkiemom1 only registers her dogs with AKC. It is the ONLY real and reputable registry out there.
The breeder probably gave you the NAPR papers bc they did not have rights to breed her AKC dogs in the first place. That is a huge red flag. Even if the breeder did in fact have rights to breed her AKC dogs and didn't register the pups (or have the AKC papers for the pups for the buyers to register the pups) shows that she is being cheap and taking shortcuts. So where else did she take shortcuts?
Even if your dog was able to register AKC, there really is no reason unless you plan on showing, or you just want to pay for it just for the record. But any other registry, it is pointless and not worth the paper they are printed on. You can register any dog as any breed, and they don't check the lines. As long as the check clears they will register your dog. Not so with AKC.
