Default Histiocytomas on Right Ear

Angel developed a lump on the top front edge of her right ear in January and it grew. We took her to the vet in March. The vet tried to do an FNA but wasn't able to get any fluid. Therefore, she did surgery and excised it for biopsy. It turned out to be a histiocytoma, which is a benign tumour. Now Angel has a divet. We thought that was the end of it, but another lump developed on the back edge of the same ear, and we took her to the vet in September. She was able to do an FNA on this one, and it's also a histiocytoma. She said we could wait and see as they can go away in a few months. Well, it hasn't and it has grown and is inflamed and spreading to the front. In the meantime, another one developed on the front right edge of the ear on the other side of the divet, so we took her back this week. The vet didn't do an FNA this time as she can tell it's the same thing.

Our vet asked how we felt about being referred to a surgeon at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. She said that she didn't feel comfortable removing the lumps herself and that the surgeon would have specialized equipment to remove them and have clear margins and make her ear look nice. She thinks the tumours will grow and could cause her ear to droop. I said I didn't want to remove anymore of her ear if possible. She would have a huge chunk missing!

I saw something online called SuperHeal (http://store.augustineapproved.com/superheal) that has the ingredients turmeric, lucithin and coconut oil. According to the testimonials on the website, other people have tried it on their dogs`lumps (cysts, tumours...etc.) and it seems to work.

I also read that the eardrop Synotic helped remove a histiocytoma after 3 weeks on a Yorkie and Boxer.

Our vet doesn't believe in holistic treatments as she doesn't think they work, but she said the ingredients in SuperHeal aren't harmful so we could try them. She said that Synotic is an eardrop, but betamethasone is a steroid cream which she thinks would be better as it will stay on more easily. We decided to try the cream first. Therefore, she prescribed Betaderm. Have any of you used this before with success? Have you used any other treatments on your dogs` histiocytomas?

Angel also has a cystic wart above her left eye, and the vet said we could try Betaderm on it. We had been using coconut oil for a few weeks on everything. It made the wart smaller but didn't make any difference on the histiocytomas.
