I ALWAYS give my puppies and adults Benadryl (1 mg per pound) before I give them their vaccinations or have my vet give them! I honestly have never had a puppy with a reaction since doing this, except for my Lupae's rabies vaccination.. If your puppy does have a reaction your vet will give them Benadryl also.. So I would rather give the Benadryl to them before the vaccination to stop a allergic reaction before it even happens!
