I am so very sorry for your unfortunate incidents....the only thing that we can rationalize our pain with, is that we can learn from every mistake we make. You can not beat yourself up over events, just remember that you will never do that again with another baby. When you think you are ready for another baby, start your search for a BREEDER, not a new puppy, but a responsible breeder that stands by her dogs.....save money during this time for your puppy when you find the right breeder. Buy your next baby from a responsible, reputable breeder that has a history of selling healthy babies....hang around dog shows, where dog breeders congregate....start collecting names of recommended responsible breeders. When you find your breeder, she will have a baby for you....you may have to wait awhile to get the puppy....reputable breeders keep their babies until 14-16 weeks old...some may let them go at 12 weeks but a reputable breeder will vaccinate her babies at 8-11-14 weeks old at least.....some use a vaccine that requires 4 shots....be steadily collecting your money for your new baby....and you will find a wonderful breeder that will have a HEALTHY baby for you....and then you just have to be reading every book you can, to understand and realize some of the dangers and stunts and tricks these babies get into or pull that can be fatal. You must learn from all your adventures and misfortunes, and you are improving as a small dog owner....you have to just stop and think of everything they can do or get into that can cause a problem....just like working with a small child!

Give yourself time to heal, start saving your money for a well bred dog, be reading "Yorkies For Dummies" that is full of valuable information.......and hang out at dog shows collecting names of good breeders....and you will find you a healthy baby and you will be knowledgeable and more aware and cautious in how to watch out for every single step or move they make!
