Thanks for your replies. I have collected a few names of yorkie breeders. It also looks like I could register Tiko's puppies (he would be 8 months). However I have read several postings where they state that yorkie sperm may not be mature until one year of age. I teach and have the summer off (since my female will go into heat in May, I would be able to look after the puppies in the summer) so I'm worried that if I just let my female mate with Tiko she may not get pregnant - thus looking for another older stud that has been successful breeding. Do I look for a smaller male (my female is 5 lbs.). Any questions I should ask the breeder -- I'm new at this. Thanks. |
