You are doing a great job. You are very wise to be vigilant. I hope that Zoey gets the idea that your sweet little granddaughter is not a threat. I do think your dog is being territorial and trying to keep her position.
When we walk and Dinky hears kids playing, he will cross to the other side of the street to get as far away as possible. On Halloween, DH had him downstairs while I passed out treats. Afterward, Dinky was a trembling mess and vomited twice.
