I just called Trucompanion and asked customer service about pre-existing; as long as dog isn't diagnosed it's fine. They can test up the wazoo and it will not be deemed as pre-existing which is good to know...

I'm considering $250 deductible for $35 / month for my 11 month old girl.
and yes, she's spayed! It would be a peace of mind just for future.
