I trained Annie with treats (you have to 'throw a party' with praise and excitement). She gets 1/2 of a Blue Buffalo mini dental bone (her favorite) when she poops on the pad. It only took me about 2 weeks to get the message across that if she wanted the 'party' and bone then she had to poop on the pad. I then just pick it up with a piece of toilet paper and flush it. Works great! She actually comes and gets me with the "I did something good" stare so I can go check to see she went. You have to be diligent in not missing it...... |
