Wow, it does look horrible. Poor baby. Is there a tick or bug in the black area? Would it help to put some antiseptic or antibiotic on the lesion to prevent infection? You said she can't get at it to lick, so I don't think it would do any harm.
Hope she is ok and that the vet can diagnose her and make her better tomorrow.
