I'd go with whatever matches or best compliments your car's interior. Ginger's car seat stays in my car no matter what, and I like that it matches my interior. I stopped using my lookout several months back and switched to a celltei back-pak-o-pet. It's belted in, so she's secure, and I can either open the flap and use the tether or zip everything shut (I leave the privacy panels open so she can see) and then she's really enclosed and safe. In a pinch, I can leave her in the carrier and take her wherever we need to go.
