Benadryl isn't really recommended by Vet Derms bc you have to give it every 4-6 hours, without fail, in order for it to even try to be therapeutic bc its half life is so short. And even if you can medicate that often, it's not known to work well for allergies in dogs. Also, whenever trying an allergy med - Vet Derms say to always use for at least 10 days.
