Hi Robin and welcome to YT. I have a pup who had a liver shunt which required surgery. I can tell you that we are using Science Diet LD formula because it has less protein than most other foods. You might also like to be sure to cut as much protein out of the diet as you can by treating and feeding with fruits and veggies and oat based cereals like Cheerios.
