His brothers and sisters are all around 4 lbs each at 5 months. If I had not seen the parents myself, I would not believe he was a pure Yorkie, but he is. Actually, his size is turning out to be perfect, and I much prefer this size to the smaller ones. We have another dog, a mix of Poodle, Schnauzer, and Bichon, who weighs in at 14.5 lbs, so the two compliment each other size and weight wise, and are the best of friends. And Luther is such a great dog, full of energy, play, up to all sorts of shenanigans. I wonder if extra large Yorkies could be the next trend.
This is an OLD thread, but I'll put my 2 cents in lol. My now passed girl weighed in at 17 lbs, no fat, beautiful sleek body, she left me at age 17 y/o. I have an adopted boy that weighs 12 lbs. I LOVE the bigger yorkies although I also LOVE the little ones but prefer bigger, they are sturdier dogs.
