I have gotten two girls in the last two yrs and with each girl I was told she would be a small yorkie. Both came from show breeders. One breeder is still showing the other has retired. One of my girls is 8.2 pds to me she is beautiful but she is not really a small girl as I was told. The other girl is probably 3 pds most differently small as the breeder had informed me.
I was suspicious that the 8 pd girl was going to be larger when I picked her up. She seemed larger than any of my yorkies in the past. Of course she exceeded the size expected of around 6 pds.but she is the sweetest baby and she's a solid baby
Even though the one girl is 8pds she is still considered small compared with other dogs. The other girl is a tiny girl but her parents were average weight out of show lines. So as Oscars Mom said there are no guarantees.
