If it is going to be days n days - then I suggest you get your vet to recommend a vet in Seattle to do the wellness exam. You can t expect a breeder to honor what ever guarantee they offer if you are travelling for many days to get home 48 hrs is a reasonable time frame - 5 days is not.

I imported a dog from Russia - she arrived on the Friday - I had pre booked her wellness exam for that Monday. Giving her time in our home to recoup from her long flight. The breeder knew and approved. How-ever if there had been any serious signs of distress she would have been to ER that wkend. I posted vids of her for the breeder over the wkend and immediately communicated with her after our wellness exam. Then once again when I got bloodwork back.

I am pretty sure the drive from Seattle to where you are is very long. Why not fly your pup in cabin with you? A return ticket to AZ can't be that much more expensive then driving and paying for motel bills n gas and food. And quite frankly much easier on both of you.
