Great you took Chloe to the vet for a closer look at her. You can contact a wild life exterminator to see what if anything can be used to keep skunks, racoons out of your yard that would also be safe for dogs, fences they can still dig under one to get in your yard. Last year 6AM I had a opossum almost on my back deck when I let Cody out. There WAS appox. a 4 inch space between where the deck steps railing are and the house, this critter was a youngster had it's head through that space, had I let Cody out one or two minutes later it would have been on the deck, Cody would have been on it in a flash, he would have been killed from this animal. 8AM I was on the phone with my handy man, 10AM that space was filled in, but I still go out first to check the deck, racoons, opossums are climbers. I still can't figure out why that opossum wanted to get on my deck, there's no food there and I haven't used my grill for a couple of years for it to have smelled food back there. When living in the country one must always stay vigilant with these fur butts. Happy that your Chloe is ok.
