Max had several corneal ulcers (a hole in the thin, clear outer layer of the eye) that were caused by a number of factors. His third eyelid popped out once when his eye was severely inflamed.
Your vet may be right that your baby's eye is reacting to hair in the eye, but I would want more reassurance that there isn't an infection, a scratch or an ulcer, or other foreign material in the eye. |



His eye is obviously bothering him or he wouldnt be pawing at it....I personallly would have pup seen by an opthomologist....you know how miserable it is to have something in your eye and you cant get it out! It could be as simple as an inverted eyelash.....but it needs to be seen and attended to. Everytime he blinks, whatever it is, is scratching his eye ball, and you can just imagine how uncomfortable that is!
