Ours came with Giardia as a puppy. He will be three in November, and he has had a sensitive tummy ever since. Our doctor said that many dogs have bacteria imbalances in their guts, just like humans. So, he recommended a daily probiotic and some Benefiber to bulk up loose stool. Also, there is a wonderful product called Canine Comfort, that helps with vomiting and diarrhea. I hope your baby feels better soon.

Yesterday I had to get something into her (because of her weight loss). I began realizing that I too at my age can not eat certain foods any more or I will also have an episode of IBS or just can not hold the foods down....much like my little peanut. So I ran to the super market bought some cantaloupe, bananas, salmon, sweet potatoes and ground turkey.
I offered her some banana she refused, I offered her some cantaloupe she ate it. At the same time I was baking the sweet potatoes. The cantaloupe still gave her loose stool not too long after she ate it.
When the sweet potatoes were finished (figured they are starch and will also bind her a little) I offered her some and she ate it...I then cooked the salmon and she ate some too. I mixed the sweet potatoes and the salmon and put a little white bread in the sweet potatoes to give her a little more starch.
Hallelujah!!!!! GiGi held down the food and I gave her another feeding of it at dinner time and she held that down also. No tummy upset all night and no runs all night. This morning she got up (I am now trained to follow her when she goes to or toward the wee wee pad to she that she is ok) went to the wee wee pad and, by the time I got there had done a NORMAL poop!!!!. I was ecstatic and in awe. She did not even go to the wee wee pad during the night to do a pee as she had been doing for the last couple of months, 2 times in the middle of the night every night.
I am not saying that she is cured until I get her Vet results but I think we may have found that she might be allergic to either chicken or rice and the allergy might be getting worse as she ages. Hallelujah!!!! I am hoping that is it. I will be going out today to get salmon and sweet potato kibble to begin to introduce that to her after a few weeks of no tummy problems.
I will update you on the Vet results and how she is doing today. So far she is well and no accidents or tummy problem. Let's see how it goes and once again thanks for all the suggestions that I still might need to rely on and thanks for caring. It is very upsetting and worrisome to see a little one go thru this.
Back to you all soon. xoxo
