hello so my yorkie sophie has had a rash for most of the summer with the vet putting her on antibiotics and sprays and benadryl with no luck. so he now put her on clindamycin and panalog cream and miraculously her rash and her itching is gone except her ears are healing but they look much better then they did. the vet thinks she has a food allergy..... she was eating the freshpet chicken rice peas and carrots flavor. and wellness chicken and brown rice kibble. so he believes its the chicken. so he gave me royal canin duck and potatoes canned dog food and i tried to mix it in with the old food and she refuses to eat it. she will pick at it and eat the chicken food but not the duck. anyone have any idea of what other food i can try to give her that is hypoallergenic dog food.
part of me thinks she isn't allergic to the chicken but i'm trying to listen to the vet so it doesn't come back. i wonder if she had a yeast infection but i read the yeast infection could be caused from a food allergy. sooooo...... yea. back to square 1.
