 Urine can also be darker yellow when held longer, like overnight.  Bright yellow can indicate the passing of excess nutrients out of the body.
 
 Clear urine -- Max has this after he drinks too much water from the faucet during bath time.  Otherwise, clear urine on a regular basis would indicate a health problem.
