I agree that dark yellow, bordering on orange, can indicate dehydration. Good advice on keeping a fresh bowl of water available at all times and encouraging the dogs to drink. We praise our boys when they drink.

Urine can also be darker yellow when held longer, like overnight. Bright yellow can indicate the passing of excess nutrients out of the body.

Clear urine -- Max has this after he drinks too much water from the faucet during bath time. Otherwise, clear urine on a regular basis would indicate a health problem.
