She goes out the back door and I usually wait for her. Since we don't have a fence any more I worry about the pits that run loose around here. The lead she was on has been being used for about 6 months.....it's one of those coated cables. They get weak and I should have replaced it but didn't realize it was getting so worn. The night she broke free I took a load of clothes out of the dryer and took it inside. By the time I came back she was gone.she goes in and out about 100 times a day these days....and typically she goes out, does her business and comes back in while I or my husband stands at the door.
