When he got one command down pat I went on to the next command, he is 4 yo and adopted, he's very smart and very FOOD motivated. In one week he had down pat sit, stay, wait, drop it, leave it and roll over, he also knows all hand commands. At 8pm every night he DEMANDS his treat, he has to perform all his commands to get this, a small piece of treat for each command, also through out the day I will randomly throw out a command, reward with lots of praise no food reward.
