I agree that a satin lining or undergarment is ideal under clothing to minimize tangling. Soft cotton materials are better than fleece on my boys.

Extra conditioner, a really good one, on bath days helps my boys.

They usually only wear clothing outdoors. When I first remove the coats or sweaters, the boys' hair often looks like they stuck their paws in an electrical outlet. I wait a few minutes and let it calm down before brushing.
