You can start with a small soft bristle brush, I used a cat brush just to get him use to the tools of grooming. Just lay him in your lap when he's at a very chilled moment like when he's napping and just start by letting him small and lick the bush and than lightly touching him with the brush so that he knows its nothing that can hurt him. Praising him and give him a few tiny treats too. I would suggest Cheerios' cereal, they are not filling and wont take away from his meal time. After a few times doing this than start to brush him all over including his belly and inner legs since that is a very sensitive area that gets tangles very easily and will need extra attention. Don't forget to always praise him every step of the way. Soon he will connect the quality time with you, the treats and the comforting touch being a GOOD thing !!
