I doubt I would choose based on gender, but I would not likely eliminate a puppy based on gender either. I might definitely lean toward a male, though...all my babies have been 'mommy's baby' but the boys seem to take it to a slightly different level that is difficult to describe. My boy is the 'prissy' one in my group of three...the girls have an air of independence slightly different from my boy's 'carry me mommy' attitude. I think it is that 'bounce' between 'mommy's protective little man' and 'mommy's baby boy' that is so endearing...and all three of these Yorkies are sooooo devoted and loving. They all love to dress up, and be pretty, and be doted on, and snuggle up, etc. They all know they 'own' me. But, there is something that is 'different' in my boy, and not just this boy...all of the boys I have had...all breeds...that is just a wee bit different than my wonderful girls.
