Is there a bulge at the base of it? The color is normal during sexual behavior.
Either way, leave him alone for a few minutes when it happens and it should go down by itself. If it does not, a cool, wet rag held to it will help the blood recede. If it is actually STUCK, use some KY jelly to lube it up and guide it back into place (do NOT do if it is still swollen, cold rag first).
If all that doesn't help, then you will need to take him in. But it is very unusual for a stud to be stuck and unable to get down on his own or with very little help.
This is not uncommon for neutered animals and is a behavioral issue that needs to be addressed through training. Do not be surprised if even after training he still does it once in a while. |
