For bath, where are you bathing him? In a tub, sink, bucket? It's helpful most of the time if you put something for traction on the bottom so Danny won't be slipping.
Brushing, is he food driven? If so, hold the treat for him to "nibble on" while you brush him. This will help him connect something good with being brushed. Same thing for bath. You might also try running the backside of the brush all over his body to let him know it's nothing to be alarmed about. My friend uses this trick with her pup. Seems to calm him a lot.
In both instances, baby talk him. If you start getting frustrated, the emotion will transfer to Danny. Also, it would help ALOT if you tired him out before brushing/bathing. Some game of fetch if that's his thing. Or extra long walk.
Patience is the key! Danny will eventually get it! Good luck!
ps. What brush/comb are you using? My furbutts hate slicker brush. I use the maden brush. I'd strongly recommend getting a mustache comb as well for the face. It really helps.
