I was told by my vet that as long as you see an oval shape when you cut your ok but as soon as you see a round shape that is when you need to stop. Also the more often you cut them the more the qwick will reseed.
Another great trick that I use is for those nails that are not a really dark black I use a flash light to see the qwick. What a great toll . . never have any misshaps with it. |
Flashlight? You shine the light on the nail and you're able to see the quick?
