My Buddybear gets totally beside himself riding in the car . Yesterday his vet suggested 1/4 tsp of Lecithin per day to help him (granules from the health food store). He weighs 7#2oz.... I also bought from her Zylkene capsules (1 per day). These are natural things to help in the brain etc . . .
The only other thing I can think of is cage rest when you are not around him. Maybe having him tethered to you when you are home would restrict the jumping off etc. Or possibly stairs to get up and down the furniture. If he's been allowed on the furniture for sooo many years it would seem quite the challenge to now tell him they are off limits.
