Hey guys.....

What would I do without you all.....you have trained me so well that I am out working and not on the list with Yorkie problems......BUT now my baby is not eating ok and has lost 1 1/2 lbs. in about 3 months. If it wasn't for the weight loss I would not be on this thread...hope this is ok.

About June or July GiGi got the runs (diarrhea) and I put her on home made chicken and rice as I have for many years with both my Yorkies and it has cleared up in less than a week. This year and last 2 years she has been getting a bout of the runs and it has taken longer to clear up. Last year I changed her dog food to senior and that worked well for a year and a little longer. This year she was rejecting this dog food so I had to change it again (after her bout with this years diarrhea) and this new dog food she rejects now after eating it for about 2 months (with little to no problems.....maybe a little tummy bile once).

I just took her to her Vet yesterday for her annual check up which includes a full panel of blood work and I explained the problem we are having with GiGi's eating. I am waiting for the results which I will get tomorrow.

I am wondering if any of you have experienced this. As I write this GiGi had eaten a small amount of my other Yorkies dog food (GiGi's old dog food) and today at 3am she did vomit her chicken and rice (mostly digested) and this morning started with the runs again, this is from eating her old dog food. I am trying to get some rice or bread into her to stop the runs (which are not that bad...under control) but she rejects it. I tested her appetite to see if she will eat at all , with a small amount of cake and she went for it big time. So she does have an appetite (that is the only good thing and her mood is playful and perky).

If you have seen this or heard of anyone who has gone thru this with their Yorkie please send me the suggestions. The sooner I get her on a stable diet the better. I don't want her to loose any more weight.
