And it wasn't a flea? The ones on my Yorkies rarely jump, they are usually just moving about. I take a pair of tweezers and squeeze the flea until it pops and then I get it off them. It is the most efficient way I have found to kill them. They usually only jump if they are on me and I look at them and then they jump away before I can grab them.
Raksha has fleas from going to my mom's house with my daughter and they have fleas so she comes home with them and then we pick them off her before we let her be with the other dogs.
