Well, I am obviously impaired too as I read your initial post and read right over that "misspelled" word.....old age brain compensating for my failing eyesight????
Mine come to me and stand and stare intensely into my eyes....then when I say, "
WHAT???" "Outside???" and that starts them to spinning in tight circles and barking, and that is a clear signal they want to go outside for a lap through the yard.....BUT, sometimes my dogs tell me fibs, and they just want to go outside for patrol, not a bathroom break, and I do not know how to stop that lying!!!! Rewarding for going potty versus no reward when they just go out and circle the yard and not go potty, makes no difference in behavior.....and I would much rather them lie and go outside for patrol, then not mention it at all and just go pee/poop on the floor/pee pad.......
