If your store has a sign up saying service animals only, they you have every right to ask if a dog is a service dog. You cannot ask what the individuals disability is, but you can sure ask if the dog is a service dog. One of the things that does for your business is decrease their liability incase someone brings in an untrained dog and it injures someone or breaks something.
You may ask any dog that is not behaving well (whether a service dog or not) to leave your store.
But they do need to have the sign up.
