Caleb used to get scabby skin. He is prone to allergies, after we've walked in the fields or woods. A good quality, 100% Coconut oil rubbed into his skin has worked the best for us. When he used to be really itchy and scabby, I'd rub lots in, now just a little on my hands rubbed in, keeps his skin under control.
The day before, he's due a bath, I really rub the oil all over him, wait awhile, then use a towel to rub some of the excess off. It's made a big difference to his coat and skin. Vet said he'd always be prone to allergies, poor fella lifts his tiny legs to pee on a plant and gets spots around his penis. Squats on the wrong plant and gets an itchy bum.
