Gahhhh! Snakes! Here in coastal NJ they are not a problem but down in SC copperheads are a big problem. They hide in the pine straw around the property. One of my neighbors has killed many of them with his machete. Between them and the alligators in the lake, it's scarey taking a walk in the day time and terrifying at night.
