If you don't see fleas do not use a flea bath. Last year I was bathing Cody weekly with a quality oatmeal shampoo, 3 weeks later he was biting at his back where the tail starts, now he had sores from him biting, off to the vet we go. Turns out Cody has environmental allergies. Teddy biting at his back by the tail can be from dry skin depending on the shampoo that was used, how often he was given baths, if all shampoo was not rinsed off maybe even allergies. If he's constantly biting at himself and you see no fleas could be time for a vet visit.
