Default 13 year old yorkie with arthritis

My lovely teacup 6lb yorkie, Spike, is 13 and has horrible athritis. His head is always down and he slips and trips every time he walks. He has no energy which seems normal for a dog his age. He's never had any health issues and loves to give kisses. He only has a few teeth so i either soak his food or get kibble thats small enough or soft enough his gums can chew it.

What I'm wondering is, is there any pain he could be feeling and how can I make him more comfy? He shows no sign of pain but I'm wondering if something could be bothering him anyway that has no visual signs?

I know cuddling and stuff is ideal however he's an extremely independent dog and just relies on me to keep him fed. He has his own space which he shares with his Maltese sister, Copeland. They have very different personalities and almost polar opposites however they get along very well.

I just want Spike to be as happy as possible and live a comfy, good, long life.

Thank you!!
