i only have the potty pad on the tiles in the kitchen. i think it's easier to tell when he has all four paws on the potty pad or not. my place is pretty small, just a one bedroom and i only have a potty pad in one place. bunjee will actually go (walking or running sometimes) to the potty pad to pee no matter where he is in the condo. it just took him a little bit of time for him to familiarize himself with where the pad is.
