If he actually goes and lays down, then that is what you want and he is doing it. Once he lays down tell him good boy and if you wish, you can give him a treat when he lays down. Uni does this too. She pouts on the kitchen floor. She knows she won't get anything until I am ready to give it to her. She won't make a peep, but she makes it known she is dying to get something.
