Actually this was my last yorkie Kirby and for some reason I never worried he would go through, perhaps because he was so laid back and did not play. But when I got Lola she started to push her toy through the posts and liked watching it hit the floor, so I bought white plastic lattice and cut it down to size and now we have that on the two areas on our upstairs landing
